Solucient Signs First Agreement with Continuum Health Partners, Inc.

EVANSTON, IL — February 13, 2006 — Continuum Health Partners, Inc., a non-profit healthcare system in New York City comprised of five historically distinguished hospitals, signed its first agreement with Solucient® to participate in the
ACTION O-I® operational improvement program.

ACTION O-I is the healthcare industry's largest financial and operational comparative database with data from more than 850 healthcare organizations across the country. The tool is used by healthcare organizations to guide operational decision-making and reduce operating costs. Participating hospitals use ACTION O-I's comparative operational information to evaluate their own costs and productivity against those of "best-in-class" organizations or peers of similar size, payer mix, geography or patient population.

According to Wael M. Fakhry, vice president of finance for Continuum, "ACTION O-I was selected primarily because of the breadth and depth of the hospitals contributing to the data set." He added, "These participating hospitals align well with hospitals in the Continuum Health organization."

In this era of pay-for-performance and increasing competition, Continuum sought a national operational database to enable its facilities to be more competitive in the highly competitive environment of metropolitan New York. "ACTION O-I is the only product that offers operational data from as many hospitals, and from as many types of hospitals, including high-performance teaching and community hospitals."
