Solucient Signs First Agreement with Warren Hospital

EVANSTON, IL — September 14, 2006 — Warren Hospital, a not-for-profit community hospital in Phillipsburg, N.J., has entered into its first agreement with Solucient®, the nation's leading source of information products for the healthcare industry, to participate in operational and clinical benchmarking programs for performance improvement.

Additionally, Warren Hospital has engaged Solucient's Professional Services team for implementation and performance improvement workshops.

ACTION O-I® is the healthcare industry's largest financial and operational comparative database with data from more than 850 healthcare organizations across the country. The operational benchmarking program is used by healthcare organizations to guide operational decision-making and reduce operating costs.

The Solucient Polaris™ Suite is the nation's leading comparative, benchmarking database used by healthcare organizations to track clinical performance and compare performance to national, regional, local and "best practices" benchmarks.

"As a community hospital, we are raising the bar and striving to achieve national excellence," says Jeffrey C. Goodwin, president and chief executive officer for Warren Hospital. "Solucient's benchmarking programs will bring a national perspective to our performance improvement initiatives," he adds. The hospital will use Solucient's clinical and operational tools to help achieve its goals of reducing costs and improving clinical quality.

According to Goodwin, "We chose Solucient as our benchmarking partner not only because of the unmatched breadth and depth of the data accessed through these tools, but also because of the company's willingness to work with our staff throughout the process."

"We are pleased to partner with Warren Hospital as it realizes the benefits of participation in both operational and clinical benchmarking programs," says Robert Porr, northeast regional director for Solucient. He adds, "Solucient surrounds its data expertise with teams of clinical and operations professionals to help our clients translate information into manageable improvements. Senior management at Warren clearly recognizes the connection between operational efficiency and the improved delivery of quality clinical care to its patients."
